Fiscal Literacy and Independence Project (FLIP) – Financial counseling and daily money management for persons at risk for exploitation

We call good money management skills “fiscal literacy.” CareSource preserves client independence by managing and maintaining safeguards for personal assets.

We help to educate clients to manage their money and assets better; to assist in negotiations with creditors when debt is heavy; to counsel individuals who suffer from expensive shopping, gambling or alcoholism and substance abuse addictions.

We provide:

  • improved fiscal stability
  • analysis of potential benefits
  • processing applications
  • assisting in court appeals
  • daily money management
  • bill payments
  • entitlements and benefits counseling
  • medical and insurance claims
  • payee, trustee, or corporate fiduciary representation
