Knyvett Lee, RG-NGF

A strong advocate for the elderly, Knyvett Lee has been working in the healthcare field since 1978. She formed CareSource (formerly The ElderCare Connection) in 1992 and has worked diligently to improve the quality of care for all needy individuals on both local and statewide levels. She is acting President of the Palm Beach Guardianship Association as well as the Florida Guardianship Foundation. Recently, she was appointed to the Governor's Task Force on Guardianship and is also working with the National Guardianship Association to develop the exam to be used to certify the competency of all professional guardians in Florida.
Knyvett Lee is a founding member and past President of the Broward County Guardianship Association and has served as secretary, Vice President and President of the Florida State Guardianship Association. She recently collaborated with the Jewish Family Services to bring the first Professional Guardianship course to Palm Beach County. Knyvett has been the course coordinator for both the Family (8 hour) and Professional (40 hour) Guardianship classes in Broward County and regularly educates groups regarding Guardianship throughout South Florida.
Knyvett is a Registered Guardian with the National Guardianship Foundation, a member in good standing of the American Association of Daily Money Managers and often serves as trustee and personal representative. Knyvett has become a respected resource regarding advocacy for the frail and disabled among the judiciary, hospitals, banks and trust departments and local government agencies.
Bonnie Stevens, BSW, RG-NGF

Bonnie has a bachelor's degree in social work from Florida International University. She has worked as a case manager with various populations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties including, the developmentally disabled, the mentally ill, and the elderly.
Stevens most recently served as property director in the guardianship department of the Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC), South Florida. Prior to that, she was the intake director and case manager for the Guardianship Program of Dade County, Inc. She also worked for the State of Florida, Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.
Bonnie is an active member of the Broward Coalition on Aging and a Registered Guardian with the National Guardianship Foundation. She has been with CareSource since 2006.

Dolores Smerkers
Director of Operations |
Dolores has worked for CareSource since 1995, starting as a part-time bookkeeper. She is now in charge of the administrative department, which includes our paralegal and clerical staff. She has over 25 years bookkeeping and management experience and has served numerous volunteer organizations such as the Girl Scouts of Broward County, St. David's Catholic Church, Nova High School Choral Parents Association and Women in Healthcare.
As Director of Operations, she coordinates all the financial issues associated with running a non-profit organization. She is a member in good standing of the American Association of Daily Money Managers, has completed the Professional Guardianship Training and been a Notary Public since 1981.
